How To Sync Iphone Data On Icloud, Google Accounts, And Microsoft Exchange

Syncing data on iOS devices vary greatly depending on the mail and calendar accounts of the user. Here are some tips on wirelessly syncing your personal data such as reminders, contacts, calendars, notes, and bookmarks with your Apple iOS device.

iCloud
Apple's iCloud service so far, has the simplest syncing program to setup but is the most capable to synchronize the widest range of data types. Its integration with the built-in iOS apps makes it more convenient to use. To set up iCloud storage on a Mac, simply go to the iCloud preference pane, type in your credentials, and select the

services you wish to sync. For iOS devices, just go to Settings, select iCloud and proceed from there.


Google Services
It is very possible to sync data such as contacts, notes, and calendars with the free services of Google. These include Gmail accounts, Gmail contacts, Google Apps accounts, and Google Calendar. It may not be as easy and simple to do as syncing with iCloud, but it can be done.

Set up your Google account on you iPhone or iPad by following these steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. select add Account.

From here, you can select from the three account types. Each account type has specific features, to best suit your needs.

Microsft Exchange
iPhone and iPad users who have accounts linked to Microsoft Exchange can sync their contacts,

reminders, and calendars with their iOS devices. However, notes and bookmarks cannot be synced.
To sync the iOS device with Microsoft Exchange, just follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings
2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Add Account
4. Select Microsoft Exchange
5. Type in your credentials
6. Tap Next and follow the given prompts and you're all set.
